Robert: When you’ve really missed the Cottage but the weather forecast says you will be watching the game whilst drying out

Zahida: Not far from the Cottage now. Looking forward to the match. Come On You Mighty Whites!!!! Let’s get that win!

Tom: If it’s not broken, don’t change it. A brilliant start, positive play, fantastic team spirit with a Manager who’s making right decisions at the right time. All led by a revitalised Troy Deeney.

SESS NEEDS TIME – JOKANOVIC

12:10: Fulham will give Ryan Sessegnon time to “grow up” and adapt to the Premier League, according to boss Slavisa Jokanovic.

The England Under-21 talent had a host of top clubs courting his services in the summer, but opted to stay put in south west London.

Manager Jokanovic has called for calm however, as the left winger starts to realise his rich potential.

“It is a new experience for him, he has come from one level to another: it’s not time to rest, it’s time to continue with this learning process,” Jokanovic said. “He must understand the difference between the Championship and the Premier League. It’s a huge experience for him, all the minutes he is getting.

“We must be calm with him and give him space to grow up. He’s a little bit more experienced now but there’s huge space for him to reach his best level.”

GOALS.

12:05: Fulham have conceded at least twice in each of their last nine Premier League matches – only twice has a team conceded two or more goals in 10 consecutive games in the competition (Wimbledon, March to May 2000 and West Brom, December 2010 to February 2011).

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Matt: Has Joe Bryan committed atrocities against Slavisa’s family or something? He’s a far better left-back than Sessegnon!

Gorges: That XI is one step forward (TFM, Chambers) and one step back. Can’t believe Jokanovic’s still going with Sess at LB (where he’s rubbish, as per Slav himself) and Johansen, who frankly should be nowhere near that side.

Terri: Observations as we set off for Fulham vs Watford match. 1. It’s too bloody early 2. It’s wet, very, very wet 3. We need a win 4. Did I mention how wet it is?

STILL STRONG

11:55: Javi Gracia insists his Watford side remain mentally strong after their perfect start to the new Premier League campaign came to an end.

The Hornets will look to get back to winning ways quickly at Fulham after seeing Manchester United inflict a first defeat on them last weekend.

Gracia’s well-drilled squad are only three points behind leaders Chelsea and Liverpool, so the Spaniard sees no reason not to remain positive.

“We had a good performance last week regardless of the result. We played well – we didn’t get a good result, but I’m pleased with the performance,” the Watford manager said.

“After four wins in a row, the team is mentally strong. They don’t need to get a good result to know we are doing good performances.

“Now in this moment, we are confident of keeping our level. We try to get better results knowing it will not be easy. We are training really well. Mentally, the team is strong and has the confidence it needs to take the result.”

TROY THE BOY

11:50: Someone get this man a waistcoat because Slavisa Jokanovic thinks Troy Deeney deserves an England call-up.

Deeney has been open about his frustrations on missing out on England selection, especially after boss Gareth Southgate vowed only to pick players featuring regularly for their clubs.

Jokanovic managed Deeney in his single season as Watford boss in 2014, and has backed the 30-year-old to cope if thrust into the international arena.

“He’s strong and a big character, and sometimes it’s not easy to deal with him,” said Jokanovic. “He has had a positive evolution in the last few years. Really he can be an option for the England national team. He had a great season when I worked him with, and his dedication is very high.”

HORNETS STING AGAIN?

11:45: Watford have made an impressive start, falling to only one defeat, against Manchester United, in five matches. The Hornets currently sit fourth in the table and a win against newly promoted Fulham would continue their strong start. Fulham have not enjoyed the best run of form since returning to the Premier League, picking up only one win against Burnley.

TEAM NEWS – FULHAM

11:40: Slavisa Jokanovic makes two changes from the team that lost to Manchester City last weekend.

Denis Odoi and Cyrus Christie are both dropped to the bench with Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Callum Chambers replacing them. Tom Cairney and Neeskens Kebano remain sidelined.

TEAM NEWS – WATFORD

11:35: There are no changes from the matchday squad which lost at home to Manchester United last time out. It’s the sixth successive match that Javi Gracia has named the same side. Consistency at Watford? Never thought I would see the day.

HELLO

11:25: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Premier League as Fulham welcome Watford to Craven Cottage.

How’s everyone feeling this morning?

We had a leaving party for a member of staff yesterday and the office is a cold, quiet and desolate wasteland with bottles of Lucozade strewn around the desks.

Other energy drinks to cure hangovers are, of course, available…

Anyway, you’re not here to hear about my hangover – you want to know if Fulham can register a second home win, or if Watford are going to continue their fine start to the season.

You ready? Good. Let’s get going!

Watford reported no fresh injury problems. Winger Gerard Deulofeu is closing in on a return to full training after an abdominal problem and Nathaniel Chalobah continues his recovery from a serious knee injury so could be on the bench again. Tom Cleverley (Achilles) remains a long-term absentee.
