There’s another new Samsung Galaxy phone trying to grab your attention and this one comes with a very unique feature.
The Galaxy A9 is the latest mid-range smartphone to come from the Korean technology firm and it features the world’s first quadruple camera system.
With four cameras on the rear glass case, Samsung is touting this device as the perfect offering for the Instagram generation.
This new photography feature includes a main 24-megapixel camera and a secondary 5-megapixel lens for depth effects.
Then there’s a telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and ultra wide 120 degree 8-megapixel camera which allows users to get more detail packed into their pictures.
Along with all of these smartphone snappers Samsung has also included some clever software to help users make the most of them.
With AI Scene Recognition, the A9 is able to identify the subject and adjust settings accordingly for the optimal photo.
There’s plenty more features packed inside the A9 including a 6.3” Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, Octa-Core processor and 6GB of RAM.
Powering the phone is a 3,800mAh which Samsung says should provide all-day power and the device comes with 128GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card.
Galaxy A9 arrives in three colours; Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink.
All feature a 3D Glass curved back which makes them feel comfortable to hold in your hand.
If you think this is the phone for you then there’s more good news as the A9 lands in your pocket for a very reasonable £549 – £190 less than the Galaxy S9.
Speaking about the new A9, DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, said: “As a global leader in smartphone innovation, we understand the demand for meaningful innovation in a fast-paced world driven by visual communication.
“Building on our legacy in smartphone camera development we’re introducing next-generation technology across our entire Galaxy portfolio to give more consumers the opportunity to experience cutting-edge innovation.
“We’re excited to deliver on this promise and debut world leading smartphone camera technology with the Galaxy A9.”
